The Council of Government has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment for the company Tragsa to carry out the project of improvement works in the management and operation of the urban solid waste plant of Ulea, amounting to 1,295 .139 euros.
These new actions, which have a lead time of six months, will be used to adapt and adapt the operations of classification of non-biodegradable recyclables and implement measures to achieve an individualized monitoring of plant efficiencies, to submit all waste to recovery operations and ensure by 2020 that a minimum of 50 per cent by weight of domestic and commercial waste is destined for the preparation and recycling.
The new work is part of the Waste Plan of the Region of Murcia 2016-2020, approved by the Governing Council on 28 December 2016.
This new investment is in addition to those made in 2010 and 2011 in the compost tuning ship, in order to provide a larger surface area for the collection of refined compost;
and the one executed in 2014 and 2016 for the construction of the new waste treatment plant.
